Estates Gazette hosted the fifth annual EG Awards on Tuesday 29 September.  The Awards brought together some of the most influential decision-makers in the property community including advisers, developers, planners, investors, owners, occupiers and the public sector.

This year we introduced a new format to the Awards, all regional adviser and company categories were presented locally in the first half of the year.  

All regional winners automatically appeared on the Contender List for the national Awards.  The companies with the most votes in each category created the shortlist.  From the shortlist the national winners were decided by a judging panel; those shortlisted were asked to submit supporting material for the judging. 

The national categories in 2009 are:

Property Adviser of the Year – Offices
Property Company of the Year – Offices
Property Adviser of the Year – Retail/Leisure
Property Company of the Year – Retail/Leisure
Property Adviser of the Year – Industrial & Distribution
Property Company of the Year – Industrial & Distribution
National Property Adviser
National Property Company
International Award

The following two categories could not be entered:
IPD UK Property Investment House of the Year 
EG Outstanding Contribution to Property Award 2009
